Edith M. Vest, age 70, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 in Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Edith was born July 22, 1946 in Lively, W. Virginia to the late Ernie and Helen (Wriston) Stover.  She married D. Lee Vest on March 25, 1967, and he survives.  She was a homemaker and a very caring and generous person who devoted her life to her family, and her beloved cats.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, D. Lee Vest of Marion; two daughters, Lori Dennison (David) of New Braunfels, Texas and Melissa Vest of Marion; one son, Curtis Vest (Patty) of Marion; brothers, Winton “Smokey” Stover of Dayton, Ohio and Curtis Stover of Maple Fork, W. Virginia; sisters, Shirley Hinkle of Shady Spring, W. Virginia and Wanda Trzicak of Mount Hope, W. Virginia; 3 grandchildren, Anthony, Laryssa and Brittni; two step-grandchildren, Rachel and Stephanie; and 3 great-grandchildren, Elijah, Mylah & Sam.

She was also preceded in death by 6 brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Funeral Services will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Darrell Smith officiating.
