Larry W. Burns, Sr., age 67, of Marion, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Larry was born February 10, 1950 in Evansville, Indiana the son of the late William and Sarah (Parson) Burns.  He married Marilyn Higginbotham on July 28, 1973 and she survives.  Larry worked in auto body repair for Performance Paint & Body in Marion.

Larry is survived by his wife, Marilyn Burns of Marion; three sons, Todd (Jami) Burns of Marion, Larry (Lucinda) Burns, Jr. of Upland and Richard (Michelle) Burns of Marion; Father-in-law, Burlie Higginbotham and Mother-in-law, Grace Higginbotham of Marion; brothers, Frankie Smith, Donald Smith, William Burns, Harold Burns, Fred Burns, Robert Burns and Jimmy Burns, all of Evansville; three sisters, Florabell Joines of Evansville, Sharon Joines of Evansville and Clara Montgomery of Tennessee; 6 grandchildren; 2 adopted grandchildren; 3 adopted great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in the funeral home with Reverend Darrell Smith officiating.

Cremation will take place following the funeral services.
