Roberta M. Tinkle, age 92, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Heritage Pointe, Warren, Indiana.

Roberta was born in Grant County, Indiana on July 6, 1924, the daughter of the late Dean and Helen (Owings) Weaver.  She married Philip M. Tinkle in 1942, and he preceded her in death on July 22, 2011.  They were married 69 years.

Roberta was a homemaker and also worked at Sears in Marion, and Appliance Manufacturing in Van Buren.  She was a member of Lakeview Wesleyan Church in Marion.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald (Jane) Tinkle of Huntington and Jan (Jan) Tinkle of Marion; a daughter, Peggy (Jerry) Wilson of LaFontaine; two brothers, Forrest Weaver of Marion, and Donald J. Weaver of Florida; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Blackburn and Ann Brewer and a brother, Wilfred Weaver.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with Reverend Gerald Moreland officiating.

Friends may call from noon to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in the funeral home prior to the funeral service.

Burial will immediately follow the funeral service in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
