FREDA A GETMAN, age 85, formerly of Marion, died Sunday, January 10, 2010, in Ballwin, Missouri.
She was born on May 2, 1924, in Marion, Indiana, the daughter of the late Harry and Luzetta (Swisher) Coppock. She married Claude Getman, who preceded her in death on March 5, 2008 after 62 1/2 years of marriage.
She was a long-time member of Marion Baptist Temple Church where she taught Sunday school for 25 years. She was also a member of the Sunnycrest Baptist Church in Marion and the Lafayette Bible Baptist Church in Ballwin, Missouri.
Survivors include: daughter, Debbie Bragg (Ed) of Ballwin, Missouri; brother-in-law, William Getman of Marion, Indiana; sister-in-law, Ruth Getman of Ohio; 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, with Reverend Ed Bragg officiating.
Burial will be in Estates of Serenity, Marion, Indiana.
Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 12 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
