Joan, Lynelle & Family... The circle of life continues as we once again face the difficult task of saying Goodbye to those we love...At this time, I seek to remind you to remember the essence of a life well lived and to rejoice in the memories that will forever be a part of each of you. The name "Shafer Grant" will always be a part of my family...as our families shared much in friendship and enjoyed many good times together in "the old days"...I am thankful for those times... Today, I send our deepest sympathy & heartfelt condolences to each of you from my family: Paul & Dorothy Lutz (deceased), Parker W. Lutz (deceased), Phyllis (Don Robbins -deceased 2008)"Lutz" Robbins....and my husband, Marv & myself... My mother now lives near us in Goshen and when she saw Shafer’s obituary in the paper, she shared many memories with me. ...For myself, I remember my Uncle Parker & Shafer being long time friends who worked together to help transport crippled children of Grant County with special vans...and I also remember misc. events with the American Legion. …These memories continue to bring a smile to my face. At times like this... one thing remains with us....and that is the lasting memory of special friendships. May God give you comfort and peace as you go through this time of grief. I know that my family has been thankful for knowing Shafer Grant & has cherished the memories that he gave us. Sincerely, Beth* Robbins Bontrager
