Arliss "Artie" L. Faust

Arliss “Artie” L. Faust, age 73, of Jonesboro passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 in his home.

Artie was born August 2, 1945 in Whitley City, Kentucky the son of the late Harlan and Zona (Perry) Faust.  He married Beverly J. Leep on July 18, 1969 and she preceded him in death on April 26, 2001.  He was aVietnam Veteran serving in the Army from 1965-1968.  He then worked at General Motors in Marion for 31 years, retiring on October 1, 1999.

Artie was a car fanatic and was very involved in car shows.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening and watching and feeding the birds.  He also loved working on old watches.  He was a member of the VFW, Eagles, A.A.R.P., the American Legion Post 513, Mt. Healthy, Ohio and was a Union Official for U.A.W. 674.   Artie was originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and was an avid Reds fan.

He is survived by a son, Michael (Stephanie) Faust of Fairmount; a daughter, April Faust of Hamilton, Ohio; his devoted companion, Sally Weist of Jonesboro; two sisters, Darlene Faust of Cincinnati, Ohio and Fayrean Marler of Eubanks, Kentucky; 5 grandchildren, Ryan, Amber, Andrew, Kaya and Camdin; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Willadean Hayes and a brother, Glen Faust.

Friends and family may call from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Chaplain Bill Sparks officiating.

Friends and family may also call from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Paul Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy, Ohio.  Funeral Services will be held at noon with burial to follow at the Bevis Cedar Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio.
