Emma L. Crum

Emma L. Crum, age 80, of Marion passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2019 at the Rolling Meadows Health Care Center in LaFontaine, Indiana.

Emma was born on December 10, 1938 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Byron “Pete” and Orpha (Coonrod) Rayl.  She graduated from Sweetser High School in 1959.  She married Paul Crum on April 7, 1962 and he preceded her in death in 2015. 

Emma’s pride and joy was being a mom and grandma, and she dearly loved each of her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Stephanie (Rob) Whelchel of Converse, Mychele (Patrick) Monks of Fairmount and Tamytha Cooper of Marion; a sister, Thelma (Bob) Wagner of Greenwood; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Emma was also preceded in death by her son, Gregory Crum and a sister, Barbara Malsberger.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Burial will take place in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana immediately following funeral services.
