Hazel L. Woods, age 91, of Marion passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017 in Wesleyan Health and Rehabilitation Center, Marion, Indiana.

Hazel was born December 19, 1925 in Wayne County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Marvin and Clara (Rich) Holt.   She married Herman E. Woods on September 23, 1946, and he preceded her in death on May 6, 2006.  Hazel worked at the Marion General Motors Plant, formerly Fisher Body for 12 years as a press operator. 

She was a member of the South Marion Church of Christ.  Hazel was a mall walker at 5 Points for several years and she enjoyed making quilts and crocheting with her sisters

She is survived by sons, Dan Woods (Lisa) of Fairmount and Terry Woods of Marion; sister, Yvonne Price of Tennessee; grandchildren, Kelly Woods, Clint Woods (Allison), Tasha Helpenstine (Jamie Lee) and Jamie Woods; 3 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Doyle Holt; and three sisters, Eva Smith, Iva Blankenship and Willodean White.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m.

Burial will immediately follow funeral services in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
