Janet L. Huffman

Janet Huffman, age 83, of Marion passed away on Monday, August 19, 2019 in her home.

Janet was born April 19, 1936 in Warren, Indiana the daughter of the late Lester and Marjorie (McMullen) Williams.  She married Charles Huffman and he preceded her in death on April 15, 2005.  Janet was a ward secretary at Marion General Hospital for 21 years, retiring in 1998.

She was a member of the Born Church in Marion.  She was a supporter of the Rescue Mission, volunteered many hours of service working at local missions, and was a mentor at Marion Community Schools.  When Janet was younger, she enjoyed bowling and was a former member of the Marion Moose Lodge and the Elks Country Club.  She was passionate about her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  Janet was a very generous and a humble person who enjoyed helping people.

She is survived by her children, Barry Huffman of Marion, Christine Davis of Indianapolis and Dan (Lori) Huffman of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Clayton Huffman; a daughter, Valerie Atchison and a brother, Stephen Williams.

Friends and family may call from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Funeral Services will begin at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Chuck Vernon officiating.

Cremation will take place following funeral services.
