John Steelman Jr., age 40, of Marion,  passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 4:47 A.M. in Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, IN.

He was born in Marion on October 30, 1977 to John T. and Carol (Cramer) Steelman.  He married April Shannon on June 1, 2001.  She survives in Marion.

John enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, camping, hunting and RC cars.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his parents John and Carol Steelman of Marion; four sons, Jordan, Jarrett, and John Steelman III, and Tyler Hale all of Marion; one sister Dina Steelman of Jonesboro; one grandson Daniel; special friend, Brandon Stevens; best friend, Josh Edwards; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for John will be Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, and Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 P.M.  Rev. Joseph Kelly will officiate. Burial will be in Estates of Serenity Cemetery, Marion.
