Marian Cooper Obituary

Marian P. Cooper, age 99, of Marion passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Rolling Meadows Health and Rehabilitation Center, LaFontaine, Indiana.

Marian was born November 4, 1918 in Highland, Illinois the daughter of the late Gustave and Pauline (Bachman) Bleisch.  She married Thomas L. Cooper on October 16, 2001 and he preceded her in death on May 7, 2006. 

Marian was a homemaker, interior decorator and a nanny.  She attended Jesus Fellowship Family Church in Marion.  Marian was well-known at J&L Restaurant in Marion and she thought a lot of the girls that worked there.

Marian is survived by her extended family, David (the late Jennie) Barley, Stephanie and Lee McMurray along with their son, Daniel who Marian considered to be her grandson.  They were also her caregivers in her later years.  She is also survived by special friends, Keith & Robin Gilomen of Highland, Illinois and Larry and Vicki Ernst of Bolose, Illinois.

She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Gertrude Bleisch and Helen Bleisch.

Graveside Services and Entombment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana with Reverend Lee McMurray officiating.

Arrangements entrusted to Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
