Nancy S. Leming

Nancy S. Leming, age 73, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, Indiana.

Nancy was born on August 22, 1946 in Marion, Indiana the daughter of the late Floyd and Marianna (Lawson) Weaver.  She married James L. Leming on February 18, 1967, and he survives.  She worked 40 plus years for Grant County: in the Auditor’s office, for the Grant County Clerk and the Grant County Assessor’s Office. 

Nancy was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Van Buren and a 55 year member of the LaFontaine Chapter 301 O.E.S where she was a past matron.  She was a very active bowler at Crest Lanes and had won many championships over the years.  Nancy loved her grandchildren and enjoyed traveling to Tennessee and going to the lake cottage in Silver Lake, Indiana.

She is survived by her husband, James Leming of Marion; two sons, Mark (Cindy) Leming of Marion and Michael Leming of Kokomo; a brother, James (Sandy) Weaver of Lafontaine; sister-in-law, Sandy Weaver of Ten Mile, Tennessee; and five grandchildren, Mitch (Jen) Leming, Bryce (Becka) Leming, Cameron Leming, Emma Leming and Collins Leming.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, George Weaver.

Friends and family may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  There will be an Order of the Eastern Star Service held at 7:00 p.m.

Friends and family may also call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 in the funeral home.  Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will immediately follow funeral services in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the LaFontaine Chapter 301 O.E.S., c/o Roberta Ancil, 2753 W. 26th Street, Marion, Indiana 46953.
