Nellie M. Evans, age 83, passed away at 7:17 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Millers Merry Manor, Marion.

Nellie was born on March 22, 1934 in Camp Creek, West Virginia to Thomas ans Bessie (Champman) Chaffin. She married Emory Evans on May 17, 1952.

She was a Homemaker and loved to be with her family and her church family. She also loved gardening and planting flowers, as long as someone else was doing the work!

She is survived by one son Virgil (Sandra) Evans, Kokomo, two daughters, Joyce (Michael) Loftis, VanBuren, and Wendy Pitzer, Marion, one brother Glen Chaffin, Kentucky, and three sisters Geraldine Huffman, Jonesboro, Cordia Blodgget, Wayne, West Virginia, and Amy Jean Maynard, Tennessee, seven grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Graveside services for Nellie will be held on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 11201 S Marion Rd., Marion, IN 46952. Reverend Tom Mansbarger will officiate.
