Norma J. Kennedy

Norma J. Kennedy, age 74, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the Visiting Nurse Hospice Home in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Norma was born July 14, 1944 in Searcy, Arkansas to the late Charles B. Robbins and Stella P. (Davis) Owens.  Her mother survives.  She worked at United Technologies in Huntington, retiring at the age of 63.

Norma was a member of the Church of Christ in Marion and enjoyed studying the Bible.  She was also a member of the Audubon’s Society and a Book Club.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and getting together with family on Fridays for pizza; and all their other family dinners.  Her favorite time of the year was Christmas with her family.  Norma also enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking, playing guitars and her keyboard and her birds and pets.  She was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. 

She is survived by her mother, Stella Owens of Marion; a son, Michael Kennedy of New Castle; two daughters, Kemberly McIlrath (Jason) of Huntington and Charmayne Walker (Ryan) of Marion; a brother, Jack Robbins (Linda) of Ft. Wayne; a sister, Donna Kelley (Ron) of Gas City; 6 grandchildren, Dawn Curtis (Davis), Rachel Dershem, Daniel Dershem, Cassie Wallace (Dakota), Garrett Hollars and Nathan Hollars (Serena); and 7 great-grandchildren, Jasmine Curtis, Olivia Sigley, Makiah Garza, Jordan Curtis, Joseph Curtis, Nariah Wallace and Graciella Wallace.

Norma was also preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, Mylee Garza and Stellah Rae Rudisill.

Friends and family may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Funeral Services will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Cremation will take place following services.
