Phyllis R. Robbins

GOSHEN - Phyllis R. Robbins age 91, formerly of Marion, died at 9:30 a.m. Monday, January 29, 2018 at Courtyard Healthcare Center, 2400 College Avenue, Goshen, Indiana.

Phyllis was born on Easter Sunday, April 4, 1926 in Marion Indiana, the daughter of the late Paul W. Lutz and Dorothy M. (Parker) Lutz.  She married Donald G. Robbins on June 3, 1952.  Her husband preceded her in death in December of 2008.

Phyllis graduated from Marion High School in 1944.  She worked for a time at “The Greeks” a candy kitchen in Marion and then later in the Loan Department of the First National Bank in Marion.  Phyllis spent most of her life in Marion Indiana as a devoted Wife and Mother.  She was often found visiting elderly members of her family and by doing so she taught her children to respect and value family. In July 2008, Don & Phyllis moved to Goshen Indiana.

Survivors include son, Gary (Kathy) Robbins, Albion; daughter, Beth (Marvin) Bontrager, Goshen: grandchildren, Brian (Shina Ellingson) Robbins, Matt (Alison Haney) Bontrager, Kelly (Andrew) Hullah; and great grandchildren, Haley Bontrager, Nicole Bontrager, Haley Jennifer Robbins and Skylar Robbins

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Donald G. Robbins, her parents, Paul & Dorothy Lutz, a brother, Parker Lutz and granddaughter, Jennifer Robbins.

Services will be held at  11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion with Kim Huffman of Goshen Christian Church officiating. 

Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana.

Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Saturday in the funeral home.
