Ruby Charlotte Jenkins

Ruby Charlotte Jenkins, our precious angel was stillborn on March 26, 2018.  She was the daughter of Jared and Kristin Jenkins, of Van Buren, Indiana. 

Along with her parents she is survived by paternal grandparents, James (Donna) Jenkins, Joliet, IL and paternal great-grandparents, Roland (Maryland) Humphrey, Joliet, IL, and Terry (Olive) Davis, Matthews, Indiana; maternal grandparents, Geoff (Lori) Thompson, Marion, and maternal great-grandparents, Helen Thompson, Marion, and Bea Ankenbruck, also of Marion; four uncles, Chad (Sherri) Jenkins, Marion, Joshua (Elizabeth Vasquez) Jenkins, Marion, Ryan Thompson, Marion and Aaron (Jill) Thompson, Lafayette, Indiana; one aunt, Stephanie Thompson, who is also her Godmother, and three cousins: Logan, Lucas and Cayden Jenkins.

Ruby was preceded in death by maternal great-grandfathers, Charlie Ankenbruck and George Thompson and paternal great-grandfather, Leroy Jenkins. Also preceding her in death is her namesake, maternal great-great grandmother, Ruby Mae Hutchison.

Little Angels

When God calls little children to dwell with Him above. We mortals sometimes question the wisdom of His love.  For no heartache compares with the death of one small child, who does so much to make our world seem wonderful and mild.  Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to his fold. So he picks a rosebud before it can grow old.  God knows how much we need them and so He takes but few, to make the land of Heaven more beautiful to view.  Believing this is difficult still somehow we must try.  The saddest word mankind knows will always be “Goodbye”.  So when a child departs we who are left behind, must realize God loves children, Angels are hard to find.
