Shirley Ann Lyon

Shirley Ann Lyon, age 80, formerly of Marion passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 in Newnan, Georgia.

She was born May 16, 1938 in Marion, Indiana the daughter of the late Russell Omar and Nellie Marie (Pinkerton) Hedrick.  She married James T. Lyon November 22, 1957 and he preceded her in death on October 7, 2007.

Shirley was a nurse at Marion General Hospital until her retirement.  She was a member of the Healing Heart Church.

She is survived by two sons, Steven A. Lyon of Gas City and Randy L. (Susan) Lyon of Newnan, Georgia; three grandchildren, Aaron Lyon, Charlotte Lyon Smith and Elizabeth Lyon; and two great-grandchildren, Gabriel Smith and Gweneth Smith.

Friends and family may call from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will take place in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
