Bela “Bill” Czeher, of Grant County, Indiana, passed away on October 10, 2026, at the age of 64. He was born on March 18, 1962, in Ft. Riley, Kansas.
Bill built a long and steady working life as a crane operator at General Motors in Marion, Indiana, where he gave forty-two years of service. He was also a union committeeman with UAW Local 977, a role that reflected both his dedication to his fellow workers and his willingness to stand beside others. If someone was in need of help, he would always volunteer, and that generous spirit remained one of the defining qualities of his life.
Outside of work, Bill found enjoyment at the pool table. He was an avid pool player who played with IPA, APA, and other pool leagues, bringing both skill and fellowship to the game. He also cherished what mattered most to him: his family, and especially his grandson, whom he loved dearly.
At the heart of Bill’s life was his family. He is survived by his wife, Joan Czeher; his son, Anthony Czeher, and Hayley Moore; his daughters, Nichole Czeher and Jessica Czeher; his sister, Lisa Czeher; and his grandson, Anthony Bela Czeher II. The love he gave them, the help he so freely offered, and the pride he took in his family will remain a lasting part of their lives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bela Czeher Sr., and his mother, Elizabeth Czeher.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 17, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, 1202 West Kem Road, Marion, Indiana 46952.
Bill will be remembered for his steadfast work, his generous heart, his enjoyment of the game he loved, and the deep devotion he carried for his friends and family. His memory will live on in all who knew and loved him.
