Bernard "Pete" Peterson

Bernard "Pete" Peterson, age 95, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Rolling Meadows Health Care, LaFontaine, Indiana.

Bernard was born July 23, 1918, in Marion, Indiana, the son of the late Esli and Tressa (Baker) Peterson. He married Anna Marie Tomlinson on June 16, 1940, and she preceded him in death. He then married Oma Ruth Neimershein, and she also preceded him in death.

Pete was an Army veteran and worked as a carpenter at Bowman Construction until his retirement.

Survivors include: son, Tom (Merle) Peterson of Naperville, Illinois; two daughters, Vicki (Tom) Condo of Monticello, Indiana, and Bonny (Robert "Bruce") VanNatter of Marion, Indiana; grandchildren, Matthew Peterson, Heather (Jay) Street, Emily VanNatter, Tiffany (Andy) Eck, and Stacy (Joshua) Antrobus; and great-grandchildren, Aalyn, Sophia and twins, Chloe & Logan.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Merrill Peterson; two brothers, Bruce & Cecil Peterson; and sister, Grethel Burgan.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with Chaplain Don Miller officiating.

Burial will be in Estates of Serenity, Marion, Indiana at a later date.

Friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014 in the funeral home prior to funeral services.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
