Brenda J. Diskey

Brenda J. Diskey, 77, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2026, in LaFountaine, Indiana. She was born on February 21, 1949, in Marion, Indiana.

Brenda was a classy lady whose life was marked by warmth, creativity, and a generous spirit. She married Kenneth L. Diskey on February 29, 1968, and they shared many years together until his passing on March 13, 2007. Their marriage was an important part of the story of her life, and the love they built together remained a lasting part of her family.

Over the years, Brenda worked in retail at K-Mart, Dollar General, and the Bread Store. Outside of work, she filled her days with the things she enjoyed most. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Christian Motorcyclists Association. She loved visiting thrift stores and rummage sales, shopping on QVC, crafting, and decorating cakes. Brenda also found joy in singing for residents at local nursing homes, sharing her voice and kindness in a way that brought comfort and happiness to others.

Those who knew Brenda will remember the special way she embraced life and the simple pleasures that made it beautiful. Whether she was creating something with her hands, searching for a treasured find, or spending time in the company of others, she carried herself with grace and heart.

Brenda leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory forward: her daughters, Darla Diskey and Melissa Shildmyer; her son, Ken Diskey; her son, Jeff Hayes; and Chrissy “Wildchild” Corey Wyrick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Diskey; her son, Tracey Diskey; her father, Ralph Morgan; her mother, Carol Morgan; and her brother, Donald Morgan. May her family find comfort in the many memories they shared with her and in the lasting imprint of her love.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, 1202 West Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Funeral services will begin there at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow immediately after the funeral service at LaFountaine IOOF Cemetery, SR 15, LaFountaine, Indiana, with Pastor Jerry Galloway officiating.

Brenda’s life touched many, and she will be remembered with love, tenderness, and gratitude. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff of Rolling Meadows Health and Rehab and also to Heart to Heart Hospice for the excellent care given to their mother.
