Brian K. Smith, age 51, of Marion, passed away at 9:50 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2016 in his home with his family by his side.
Brian was born on November 7, 1965 the son of Warren and Pamela (Gould) Smith. He was a truck driver for Rock Leasing. Brian loved horses and his granddaughter called him “Horsey Papaw”. He also enjoyed working, traveling, watching NASCAR and was a Dale Jarrett fan.
He is survived by his parents, Warren and Pamela Smith of Marion; two daughters, Nicole (Michael) Carrel of Mason, Ohio and Sarah Smith of New Lebanon, Ohio; granddaughter, Caitlin Carrel; and grandmother, Eldora Gould.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Denisa DeMoss, and grandparents, Warren and Charlene Smith and George Gould.
Visitation will take place from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2017 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Lois Helms officiating.
