Constance Lou "Connie" Burt

Connie passed away on October 23, 2026, at Rolling Meadows Health and Rehabilitation Center, LaFontaine, Indiana. She was born on November 20, 1938, in Sweetser, Indiana, at her grandparents' home, to Charles and Thelma Stirnitzke.

Connie attended Fort Wayne International Business College for one year after graduating from Marion High School in 1956. She then worked at the VA Medical Center for thirty-eight years and loved every job she had and all of the people she worked with. After she retired, she worked at the Hallmark store for a few years.

Connie loved taking walks, bowling, and going to the Casino. She was an avid golfer and especially enjoyed hitting the links at Shady Hills Golf Club. She loved spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren compete in their respective sports.

She is survived by her son Jeff (Pat) Rittenhouse; her daughter Traci (Jim) Isenbarger; five grandchildren, Travis (Megan) Isenbarger, Ashley Isenbarger, Leslie (John) Boyd, Diana Houghey and Trudy (Nate) Bertram; eight great grandchildren, Tanner, Everly, Aaliyah, Logan and his wife Autumn, Isabell, Xander, Tristin, Caidence, and Chloe; two great great grandchildren, Winter and Waylen; and her great-niece Lilyth.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Wilma Stirnitzke and Thelma and Carlyle Phillips; one sister, Cheryl Stirnitzke; one grandson, Jeff "Champ" Rittenhouse Jr.; and one nephew Aaron Kidwell. 

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday November 2, 2026, from Noon to 2:00 PM at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, 1202 W Kem Road, Marion, Indiana 46952. Funeral services will follow visitation at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park Cemetery following services.
