DELBERT R. HAMAKER, age 60, died at 7:51 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2009 in Marion.
DELBERT was born on October 24, 1948, in Marion, Indiana, the son of the late Harold and Martha (Peterson) Hamaker.
He was a box maker at Indiana Corrugated. He loved the outdoors especially, canoeing, fishing and camping.
Survivors include: two sons, Delbert Hamaker, Jr. of Marion, Indiana and Stephan Hamaker (Mindy) of Frankton, Indiana; daughter, Jill Hamaker of Florida; five brothers, Tom Hamaker of Muncie, Indiana, Tim Hamaker (Diane) of Noblesville, Indiana, Jim Hamaker (Linda) of Warren, Indiana, Mike Hamaker of Marion, Indiana and Mark Hamaker (Linda) of Tennessee; three sisters, Becky Suter (Larry) of Anderson, Indiana, Judith McDowell of Petroleum, Indiana and Debbie Ruth (Dennis) of Marion, Indiana; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 13 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Memorial Services will follow at 7:00 p.m.
