Dominic Michael James Vickers, known affectionately as "The Dealer," passed away on November 2, 2025, in Marion, Indiana at the age of 51. Born on September 5, 1974, in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, England, Dominic made a name for himself as a Professional Card Dealer, gaining respect and admiration within his profession due to his honest demeanor, high standards, and strong moral compass. He had an exceptional ability to accept people for who they were, contributing positively to the lives of many who crossed his path.
Dominic's life was marked by a deep commitment to various causes, including his support for veteran organizations and the Knights of Columbus in Indianapolis. He was an avid coin collector, a hobby that revealed his appreciation for history and craftsmanship. His love for family was evident in the cherished moments he shared with his son, Julien, attending Marvel movies together and making lasting memories. Dominic also had a spirited enthusiasm for Halloween, often enjoying visits to haunted houses with the kids.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jamaise Wilson; his children, Julien Wilson-Vickers, Capri Wilson-Vickers, and Pegen Wilson; and his grandson, Milo Wilson. Also mourning his loss is his sister, Suzy (Niel) Church.
Dominic was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Donaldson-Vickers, whose legacy of love and support greatly influenced his life.
A Visitation will be held in his honor on November 12, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life that will commence at 6:00 PM, with an open mic for friends and family to share stories of Dom, all at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, located at 1202 West Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. A Mass will be celebrated on November 13, 2025, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1009 West Kem Road, Marion, Indiana, starting at 11:00 AM. There will be visitation one hour prior to Mass at the church.
