Georgiana Jane Pearson, a devoted production worker at RCA for an impressive forty-four years, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026, in Jonesboro, Indiana. Born on March 17, 1934, in Marion, Indiana, Georgiana dedicated her life to hard work and community involvement, leaving a lasting legacy in both her professional and personal circles.

Georgiana's career at RCA was marked by dedication and steadfast commitment, exemplifying a work ethic that earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike. After retiring, she remained active within her community, embracing a variety of interests and hobbies that enriched her life and the lives of those around her. She was an active member of Emanuel Baptist Church in Marion, where her faith anchored her through the years. She found joy and camaraderie in bowling as a member of the ABA and exhibited her support and pride in veterans through her involvement in the VFW Auxiliary. Her fondness for rummage sales, shopping, reading, and solving crossword puzzles kept her mind sharp and engaged, while her deep love and pride for her grandchildren were a source of great happiness.

Georgiana’s family played a central role in her life, and she is lovingly remembered by many. Among her cherished surviving family members are her brother Steve (Helen) Eakins and sisters Diane (Brian) Fields and Roslie Eakins. She was a caring grandmother to Earl (Melanie) Sizemore, Stacie (Mark) Norman, Jack Borders, Amber (Billy) Johnson, great grandchildren Curtis Sizemore, Krystal Sizemore, Garrett Smith, Preston Sage, Jaylin Sage, James Sizemore, Justin Sizemore, Olivia Sizemore, Kailyn (Nathan) Watson, Sydnie Bishop, Adelaide Davis, and Michael Johnson. Her great great-grandchildren—Makenna Sizemore, Leighsen Sizemore—and others continued to bring her joy. Special relationships included her special niece Rhonda Eakins and her sons-in-law Terry Coleman and Tim Borders.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Wilford C. Eakins and Beulah Eakins; her dear children Jackie Coleman and Sue Borders; and siblings Delbert Eakins, Bill Eakins, Nate Eakins, Mike Eakins, Onnie Derossett, Margert Walser, and Doatzie Mills.

Services to honor Georgiana’s life will be held on April 3, 2026, at the Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home located at 1202 West Kem Road, Marion, Indiana 46952. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Georgiana Jane Pearson’s life was marked by unwavering dedication, heartfelt faith, and an enduring love for her family and community. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion that will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
