Harold E. Richmond, born on March 9, 1953, in Louisa, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly on June 8, 2025, in Marion, Indiana. A devoted family man and respected member of his community, he led a life marked by service and dedication.
Harold served as a police officer with the Wadsworth Police Department in Wadsworth, Ohio, for eight years, embodying his commitment to public safety. Following his tenure in law enforcement, he worked diligently for thirty years as a store manager at Firestone, where his work ethic and leadership inspired both employees and customers alike. Harold held an associate degree in business management from Kent State University, equipping him with the knowledge necessary for his successful career.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Harold was an avid supporter of the University of Tennessee Volunteers and the Indiana Pacers, passionately following their journeys and fostering a spirit of camaraderie among fellow fans. He attended Twin City Bible Baptist Church in Marion, Indiana, where he found both fellowship and solace.
Harold is survived by his wife, Judie Richmond; his daughter, Sarah Richmond; his stepson, Michael (Shani) Green; his stepdaughter, Ginger Green; his sister, Diana Williams; his sister, Joyce Wilson; his brother-in-law, John (Linda) Foland; along with five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Cooper, who brought him endless joy.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Emerson Richmond and Ruby Fagert, whose love and guidance shaped the man he became.
A graveside service will be held on June 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion, Indiana. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor and celebrate the life of Harold E. Richmond, a man who touched the lives of many and will be cherished in their hearts forever.
