Jacqualine “Jackie” Turner, née Brown, passed away on October 8, 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the age of 87. Born on July 12, 1939, in Huntington, Indiana, she lived a life marked by devotion to others, quiet generosity, and deep love for her family. In her passing, she was reunited with her family in Heaven.
Jackie was, above all, a homemaker, and she embraced that calling with grace and steadfast care. The home she nurtured was shaped by her servant’s heart, her kindness, and her readiness to help anyone in need. She was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back, and those who knew her experienced that generosity not as grand display, but as the natural expression of who she was. She loved being with her family, and the time she shared with them was among the greatest joys of her life.
Her life was also one of faithful support and service in ways both personal and far-reaching. As the wife of an Air Force veteran, she understood sacrifice, loyalty, and commitment. Her compassion extended beyond her own household as well, and she gave to several relief organizations to aid those affected by natural disasters. Whether caring for loved ones close at hand or reaching out to strangers in need, Jackie lived with an open heart and a helping spirit.
She is survived by her sons, Jim Turner and his wife Jennifer, and John Turner and his wife Heather; by her brother-in-law, Phil Norris; and by her five beloved grandchildren, Christopher, Samuel, Jacob, Rebekah, and Lauren Turner. The family she cherished so deeply remains a lasting part of her legacy, and the love she poured into their lives will continue to be remembered with gratitude and affection.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Alan "Randy" Turner; her father, Melvin Brown; her mother, Ethel Weeks; her brother, James Brown; her sister, Mary K. Tomlinson; her brother-in-law, Kenneth Eugene Tomlinson; and her sister, Virginia Norris. Their memories remained part of the story of her life, and now she rests among them in peace.
Visitation will be held on October 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, 1202 West Kem Road, Marion, Indiana 46952. The funeral service will follow there at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. at Marion National Cemetery, 1700 E 38th St, Marion, Indiana 46953.
Jackie will be remembered for her warmth, her selflessness, and the steady, loving presence she brought to the lives around her. Her memory will live on in the family she treasured, in the kindness she freely gave, and in the many quiet acts of care that defined her life.
