A retired Brunswick Master Mechanic, Jesse dedicated many years to honing his skills in mechanics, earning respect and admiration in his profession. His commitment to excellence was evident in everything he did, showcasing not only his technical ability but also his strong work ethic and dedication. In addition to his mechanical career, Jesse served his country with pride as a Gysgt in the United States Marine Corps, retiring after 20 years of service, which included time as a Vietnam veteran. Jesse was an active member of the VFW Post 5582 in Columbia City, Indiana, where he fostered camaraderie and friendship with fellow veterans. He had a love for reading that transcended the ordinary; owning over two thousand books, he delighted in the worlds created by authors, finding joy in tales from the beloved Harry Potter series to the adventures of Scooby Doo and the intriguing narratives of Dr. Who. His passion for science fiction films further complemented his imaginative discourse.

One of Jesse's greatest joys was his garden. It was truly his happy place, where he cultivated radishes and hot peppers, among other delights. This simple yet fulfilling hobby brought him solace and satisfaction, allowing him to connect deeply with nature and find peace in the act of nurturing life.

Jesse Thompson is survived by his beloved wife, Sabrina Thompson; his children, Jesse Lee Thompson Jr., Samantha (Shaun) Scheidler, Matthew Thompson, Jeremiah Thompson, and Christopher Watson; his brother Deloren Thompson and his brother Bob Thompson; as well as four cherished grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert D. Thompson, his mother, Edna Bell Foster, his stepfather, Donald Foster, and his brother, Leroy Thompson. Jesse will be fondly remembered for his kindness, his infectious smile, and the immense love he shared with all who were fortunate enough to know him.
