Celebrating the life of Jodi Sutton, who graced this world from August 17, 1960, until her peaceful departure on September 13, 2025, we remember a remarkable woman whose essence touched the lives of many. Born and raised in Marion, Indiana to Bud and Doris Sutton, Jodi blossomed into a beloved daughter, devoted mother, cherished sister, and proud grandmother.
Jodi's professional tapestry was woven with dedication and care. She served as a dispatcher for Toler Cartage and Brankle Brothers, and also lent her talents as a tax assistant with Rea-Logan & Co. in Marion. Her work ethic was matched only by her kindness, making her a respected colleague and a friend to many.
Beyond her career, Jodi had a spirited passion for life that radiated through her hobbies. An enthusiastic lover of motorcycles, she was an active member of ABATE for twenty-five years, demonstrating her adventurous spirit and love for freedom on the open road. Whether it was camping under the stars or enjoying the sun at the beach, she took every opportunity to create joyful memories.
Family was everything to Jodi. She is survived by her loving mother, Doris Spears, her daughters Myranda (Brady Abston) Sutton and Hayley (Aaron) Skinner, and her dear brother Tom Sutton. Her legacy will continue to shine brightly through her six grandchildren: Trenton Skinner, Blaikleigh Skinner, Oakleigh Skinner, Analaya Ricks, Matthew Ricks, and Ayden Ricks. These young hearts were a source of immense pride and joy for Jodi, as she treasured the moments spent with them.
Though she faced the loss of her dad, Clyde Spears; sister, Suzi Sutton; and brothers, Dennis and Monte Sutton, Jodi drew strength from her faith. She was profoundly proud to have met and known Jesus, embracing her faith with a heartfelt desire for her family and friends to join her in heaven.
Jodi's warmth, vivaciousness, and unwavering faith will be honorably remembered by all who knew her. As we gather to commemorate her life, we will share stories filled with her laughter and boundless love, ensuring that her spirit lives on in our hearts.
Visitation will take place on September 18, 2025, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, followed by the funeral service at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, located at 1202 West Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
Her light shall not dim in our memories, for Jodi Sutton's legacy of love, adventure, and faith will forever inspire those whose lives she has touched.
