Kay C. Mills (Titus) Eichorst, born on March 21, 1938, in Marion, Indiana, passed away on October 8, 2025, in Greentown, Indiana. She was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Kay dedicated nineteen years of her life as a Registered Nurse at the Marion VA, along with experience in various nursing homes and private nursing. She was immensely proud of her status as a nurse, having graduated from Marion High School in the class of 1956 and earning her nursing degree from Indianapolis Methodist Hospital in 1959.
Kay was a valued member of her community, being active in Christland United Methodist Church as well as the Mississinewa Order of the Eastern Star, Women of the Moose, and the Red Hat Society. Her interests reflected a vibrant spirit, and she enjoyed the company of many friends through these organizations.
She is survived by her children: Jerry (Jan) Titus of Kokomo, Dana (Greg) Melton of Swayzee, Diana (Darryl) Clark of Marion, and Hal (Tammy) Eichorst of Fishers, thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, many step-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kay experienced loss in her life, having been married to Jerry N. Titus Sr. in 1959 until his passing in 1964. She later married Eldon "Ike" Eichorst in 1969, who passed away in 1972. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, James, Edward, and Royce Mills, and her sisters, Rita Conner and Joyce Hyatt.
A visitation will be held at the Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home in Marion on October 16, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will take place the following day, October 17, 2025, also at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, starting at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest at Grant Memorial Park beside her first husband, Jerry.
The family extends special thanks to Century Villa of Greentown and Guardian Angels Hospice of Kokomo for their caring and dedication during this difficult time. Kay's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. For those who wish memorial contributions may be directed to the family to help offset final expenses.
