Kerry E. Dalrymple

Kerry E. Dalrymple, age 77, passed away at his home in Altus, Oklahoma on Sunday May 24th, 2026.

Kerry was born on September 29th, 1948, in Marion, Indiana to Gene and Judy (Worline) Dalrymple. Kerry attended school in Van Buren, Indiana and graduated from Eastbrook High School with the class of 1966. He attended Purdue University. Kerry married Darlene Stanley in 1967 in Marion, Indiana. He worked alongside his dad in the family business Gene’s Custom Homes. He then becomes a Rural Letter Carrier with The United States Postal Service, retiring in 2011 with more than 33 years of service. Kerry also started a career in tax preparation as owner and operator of Dalrymple Tax Service Inc. In 1982 he was united in marriage to Nancy Carol Hickerson in Vernon, Texas; she survives.

Kerry was a member of The Indiana Rural Letter Carrier Association where he served as a district committee member and assistant state steward. He was also a member of The Quail Unlimited, proudly serving his community as a licensed EMT with Medic 5, civil defense and the Green Township Fire Dept.

Kerry loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandkids. He and Nancy enjoyed traveling together and many wonderful memories visiting places including Hawaii, The Bahamas, Ireland, Paris, and Munich. In his younger years he enjoyed bowling and playing ball, bird hunting with his English setter dogs, golfing, and gardening where he grew vegetables and cultivated fruit trees. He loved fishing in his pond. Kerry was a lifelong fan of the Chicago White Sox, Purdue University and Miami Dolphins.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Nancy Dalrymple of Altus, Ok; Daughter, Keri Elaine (Jeff) Rennaker of Swayzee, IN; Son, Warren (Melissa) Dalrymple of Michigan; Brother, Paul (Maureen) Dalrymple of Swayzee, IN; Sister, Dea (Mike) Wright of Swayzee, IN; Ten grandkids: Joshua (Bobbie) Rennaker, Courtney Rennaker, Daniel (Amanda), Kathy, Keith, David, Ashlee, Aerial and Briana Dalrymple and Justin Claghorn. Also, eighteen great grandchildren along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be held on June 20th, 2026, at Back Creek Wesleyan Church located at 10971 S E 00 W Fairmount, Indiana

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM - 1:00PM with funeral services immediately following visitation.
