With deep respect and heartfelt remembrance, we celebrate the life of Lois Kistler, whose remarkable journey began in the familiar embrace of Marion, Indiana. Born on July 12, 1926, and departing this world on July 15, 1937, Lois’s life was a tapestry interwoven with both achievement and devotion—an enduring presence whose impact resonates within all who knew her.
Lois dedicated herself to her community, building a legacy through both her professional pursuits and her personal passions. As a talented realtor, her ambition and determination knew no bounds. She carved her own notable path by opening the very first ReMax office in Marion—a pioneering act that reflected her entrepreneurial spirit and deep love for her hometown. Through her work, Lois enriched not only the cityscape but also the dreams and lives of countless families she helped find their own havens in Marion.
Beyond her distinguished career, Lois found joy and fellowship within the Marion Elks Lodge and Country Club. The rolling greens became a second home to her, where she cultivated friendships and pursued her love of golf with equal parts grace and competitive flair. Lois’s talent shone brightly, seeing her honored as a three-time runner-up in the Grant County Golf Championship—an achievement that stands as a testament to her unwavering dedication and sporting prowess.
Family was the cornerstone of Lois’s world. She is deeply mourned and lovingly remembered by her son, Mark Wright, whose life she nurtured with the same care and encouragement she offered to all whom she loved. Though Lois witnessed the passing of those dearest to her—her beloved husband, Bob Kistler, and her devoted parents, Woodrow and Mabel Frazier—her spirit endures in the bonds she fostered and the values she cherished.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
