Mary A. Craig, born on March 12, 1939, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, left this world peacefully in her home on August 27, 2025. She was a beloved member of her community in Marion, Indiana, where she made significant contributions through her career in the Metal Assembly department at Fisher Body. Mary dedicated herself to her work and was respected by her colleagues for her unwavering commitment.
Beyond her professional life, Mary was known for her warm spirit and generosity. She had a deep passion for sewing and found joy in the beauty of her garden, where she nurtured not only plants but also friendships. Mary's home was often a gathering place for family and friends, reflecting her love for connection and community. She would do anything for those she cared about, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.
Mary is survived by her loving nephew, Jim (Gail) Robertson; her caring niece, Patty (Brian) Harrison; and another niece, Jessie (Gary) Muncy. She also shared a special bond with her dear friend, Susan Ingram Studler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William E. Maynard and Edith Maynard, as well as her siblings: Everett Maynard, William I. Maynard, Charles Maynard, Esther Horbath, Ruth Austin, and Betty Worm. The legacy of love and kindness that Mary leaves behind will be cherished by all who knew her.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Mary’s life during visitations starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM on September 4, 2025, at the Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home located at 1202 West Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.
Mary's journey on Earth has concluded, but her spirit will continue to inspire and touch the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives.
