Parr A. Reed, age 58, of Gas City, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015, in his home.

Parr was born on May 9, 1956, the son of the late Jim and Betty (Selby) Reed.

Parr was a 1974 graduate of Mississinewa High School and a 1978 graduate of Marion College. He then earned his Master's degree at Ball State University. He was a Principal, Teacher and Administrator at Mississinewa Community Schools for 30 years.

He enjoyed golfing, basketball, and riding his motorcycle. Parr loved music, hot rods, spending time with his grandchildren and was very proud of his four children. He enjoyed collecting and building guns and knives and loved to play poker every Thursday night with his boys. He was also an artist in sketches and his garden. Parr was a member of the Elks Country Club.

Survivors include: son, James (Allison Sloan) Reed of Gas City, Indiana; three daughters, Mona (Devin) Tyler of Indianapolis, Indiana, Hannah (Nick Jones) Reed of Gas City, Indiana, and Cera (Bob Pittman) Reed of Marion, Indiana; brother, Jon (Joy) Reed of Gas City, Indiana; four sisters, Regina Lamb of Gas City, Indiana, Mary Jane (Sam) Stephens of Texas, Holly Beth (Jim) Weir of Upland, Indiana, and Trudy (Gary) Owen of Yorktown, Indiana; grandchildren, Jaiden and Preston; one granddaughter on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015, at New Hope Baptist Church, 800 E. South "C" Street, Gas City, Indiana, with the Pastor Howard Clayton officiating.

Friends may call from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, April 16, in the church prior to funeral services.
