Patty Yeakle

Patricia Mae Yeakle, a beloved member of her community and dedicated tax preparer, passed away on May 6, 2025, in La Fontaine, Indiana. Born on May 29, 1953, in Shelbyville, Indiana, Patricia lived a life marked by service, commitment, and love.

Patricia was known for her professional career at Patty Yeakle Tax Service, where she utilized her expertise to assist countless individuals and families during tax season. She approached her work with diligence and passion, earning her the respect of clients and colleagues alike.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Patricia was deeply involved in her community, serving as a vital member of the AmVets Post 5 Auxiliary. She dedicated her time and energy volunteering for Cancer Services of Grant County and served as a board member for Help the Hopeful, where her compassion and commitment made a significant impact on those in need.

Patricia is survived by her loving family, which includes her son, Joseph Ryan Kerschner, and her daughter, Dawn Marie Peter. She was a cherished grandmother to Joseph Randall Kerschner and Evan Lucas Peter. Her siblings, Wes Yeakle, Daryl (Robin) Yeakle, Tony Yeakle, Greg (Stephanie) Yeakle, Tim (Danney) Yeakle, and sister Carol (John) Lawson, remember her fondly along with her sister-in-law Malaya Yeakle and brother-in-law Rick Connett, and brother-in-law Clarence Williams. Patricia also leaves behind a special friend, Claudio Kaica, who held a significant place in her heart.

Preceding Patricia in death was her father, Harry Otto Yeakle, her mother, Betty June Yeakle, and her sisters, Vickie Connett and Barbara Williams. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Harry "Jay" Yeakle.

Visitation services will be held on May 13, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home in Marion, Indiana. The internment will be at Estates of Serenity. 

Patricia Mae Yeakle will be remembered not only for her contributions to her profession and her community but also for the warmth and love she shared with her family and friends. Her legacy of kindness and dedication will continue to inspire those who knew her.
