Randy Dale Lee, 74, of Fairmount, Indiana, passed away on August 23, 2025. He was born on August 20, 1951, in Scottsville, Kentucky, to Garnett B. Lee and Eva Inez Scott. Randy lived a life characterized by service, dedication, and love for his family.
He served his country as a SP4 in the United States Army Infantry and was a proud Vietnam veteran. Following his military service, Randy devoted many years to his career as a firefighter with The Veterans Administration, where he continued to exemplify the values of duty and service.
Randy married Cledith Ann Powell on December 21, 1981, who was the love of his life. Cledith preceded him in death on April 17, 2024. Their bond was cherished, and Randy often spoke of her as his greatest support and joy. He is also mourned by his children: Randy B. Lee, Jordan (Tanya) Lee, Daniel Saylors, William Saylors, Sunshine (Randall) Reynolds, Casandra (Shaun) Woodring, and Sabina Fisher. He leaves behind thirty grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren who will forever remember his warmth and love.
Randy enjoyed a variety of hobbies that brought him joy and relaxation. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, engaging them in play and sharing special memories. Card games were a favorite pastime, particularly Pinochle and Hand and Foot. His love for poker brought him many evenings at the casino in Anderson, where he cherished the thrill of the game.
In addition to his family and hobbies, Randy found fulfillment in attending the Vietnam Veterans Reunion in Kokomo, where he connected with those who shared similar experiences and values.
Randy is preceded in death by his father Garnett B. Lee, mother Eva Inez Scott, stepfather Jim Scott, wife Cledith Ann Lee, daughter Audrey Thompson, stepbrother Virgil Baker, and sisters Sandy Lee and Brenda Hall, as well as stepsister Mary Helen Abernathy.
Visitation for Randy Dale Lee will be held on September 2, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home located at 1202 West Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. The funeral service will take place the following day, September 3, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM, also at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home.
Randy's loving spirit and commitment to family, friends, and his country will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the honor of knowing him.
