Raymond J. Ybarra

Raymond J. Ybarra, a beloved husband, stepfather, and cherished brother, passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on February 19, 1954, Raymond dedicated a significant portion of his life to serving his community as a custodian at Marion General Hospital, where he was known for his unwavering commitment and kindness.

Raymond's legacy extends beyond his professional life; he was an active participant in the Native American community with the Mississinewa 1812 organization. His passion for celebrating and honoring his heritage was evident to all who knew him.

He is mourned by his loving wife, Susan Ybarra, and his two stepsons, Jay (Leysa) Ferguson and David (Kindra McFadden) Ferguson. Raymond also found joy in the company of his step granddaughters, Taylor (Kohl) Fouty and Allie Ferguson, who brought light and happiness to his life. He is survived by his brother, Pascual Ybarra Jr., as well as several nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.

Raymond joins his late parents, Pascual "Don" Ybarra and Jenny Mae Ybarra, and his brother, Anthony Ybarra, in eternal rest. Though he has departed from this world, his spirit and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Visitation for Raymond J. Ybarra will take place on July 21, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home located at 1202 West Kem Road, Marion, Indiana 46952. His presence will be dearly missed, and his life celebrated by family and friends.
