Richard Parks

June 8, 1949 — February 15, 2026

Richard Parks, a beloved member of the Gas City community, passed away on February 15, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on June 8, 1949, in Gas City, Indiana, Richard dedicated his life to his family and enjoyed a variety of interests, particularly fishing, which brought him much joy.

He is survived by his son, Clyde Parks; his sisters, Cora Horner and Billie Webb; and his brothers, Roger (Melissa) Parks and Russell (Roxanne) Parks, and his sister-in-law Peggy Parks. Richard's memory will be cherished by those who knew him and loved him.

Richard was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Parks; and his sisters, Regina Lovett, Janice Shope, Bonnie Parks, Deloris (Gene) Grant, Joan Lloyd, and Vonda Pool. He was also preceded by his brothers, Clyde Parks, Clarence Parks, and Charles Parks. Their spirits remain a part of his legacy.

A visitation in Richard's honor will take place on February 18, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, located at 1202 West Kem Road, Marion, Indiana 46952.

Richard Parks will be remembered for his kindheartedness and his love for family and fishing. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
