Roberta Kay Bilbee, aged 78, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, in Gas City, Indiana. Born on May 4, 1946, in Marion, Indiana, she gracefully transitioned from this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and warmth.
Roberta dedicated her career to the care of others as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), serving in various nursing homes with commitment and compassion. She retired from Millers Merry Manor in Hartford City, where she was known for her kind-hearted nature and unwavering dedication to her patients.
Roberta had a passion for life that extended beyond her professional contributions. She cherished moments camping at Salamonie and enjoyed the freedom of horseback riding. Her adventurous spirit was reflected in her love of traveling across the United States, with New Mexico holding a special place in her heart. Above all, Roberta's greatest joy came from her family—she adored her grandchildren, who meant the world to her and were a source of endless pride and happiness.
Roberta was preceded in death by her loving parents, Robert and Mildred Seward, her husband Jerry Bilbee, as well as her daughter, Mary Bartrum, and sisters Linda Pickett, Karen Shaw, and Janice Rhoades.
She is survived by her devoted sons, Floyd (Rozanne) Bilbee and Troy (Sherry) Bilbee; her beloved daughter, Brandy (Stewart) Bilbee; and her cherished daughter, Jeri (Ross) Alcorn. Additionally, Roberta is survived by her sister, Merri (Junior) Ashley, along with her fourteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, each of whom carries forward her love and spirit.
Visitation for Roberta Kay Bilbee will take place on April 29, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, located at 1202 West Kem Road, Marion, Indiana, 46952. A Funeral Service will be held the following day, April 30, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM, concluding with a final farewell at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Roberta's legacy of kindness and love for her family and friends will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
