Ronald L. France, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and dear friend, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026, in Converse, Indiana, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 15, 1943, in Wabash, Indiana, Ronald lived a full and vibrant life marked by dedication, warmth, and a zest for the simple pleasures that brought joy to his heart.
Ronald’s professional life was defined by his work as a CNC machine operator at Zimmer in Warsaw, Indiana, where his precision and diligence left a lasting impression on those who worked alongside him. Beyond the workshop, Ronald was a man whose passions and hobbies painted a colorful picture of a life well-lived. A proud member of Moose Lodge 1195 in Wabash, he found community and camaraderie among fellow members. His love of the game was evident to all—whether on the golf course where he was known for his unique “Ronnie Rules,” at the pool table where his skills were well-respected, or playing Euchre, where his competitive spirit truly shone.
Ronald’s enthusiasm extended beyond the games he loved. He was an avid Colts fan, cheering on his team with unwavering loyalty. Travel was a cherished pastime, with memorable trips to Florida and Hawaii, including a memorable cruise to the Bahamas. To connect with nature, he enjoyed camping, particularly at his favorite spot in Jellystone—a place where family memories were made and treasured. In his younger days, Ronald embraced the freedom and thrill of riding motorcycles, a testament to his adventurous spirit.
Ronald leaves behind a deeply grateful family who will carry his legacy in their hearts. His wife, Esther France, stood by his side through life’s joys and challenges, providing strength and love. His children—Missy France-Flinn, Shelly (Scott) Robinson, and Ron (Sabrina) France Jr.—reflect the values of compassion and resilience he instilled. His sister Sharon France, grandchildren Kimberly (David) Branning, Brandon (Adriene) Warren, Tanna Flinn, Zoey France, and Carly Flinn, as well as great-grandchildren Tasha, Bentley, Everett, Brooklyn, Killian, and Brady, all feel the deep loss of a guiding presence and loving patriarch.
Ronald was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Lola France; his son Kelly Mays; brothers Jack, Roger, Jim, Rex, Bob, and Howard France; and sister Juanita Gaines. Their memories live on, intertwined with the stories and laughter shared over the years.
Family, friends, and all who knew Ronald are invited to pay their respects during visitation on April 8, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, located at 1202 West Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. A funeral service to honor Ronald’s life will be held on April 9, 2026, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the same location.
As we say goodbye to Ronald L. France, we remember not only the roles he fulfilled but the spirit with which he lived—a spirit filled with love, laughter, and a passion for the moments that truly matter. His legacy is one of kindness, family devotion, and a joyful approach to life’s adventures. He will be missed dearly and forever cherished in the hearts he touched.
