Russell Lowell Hults, a devoted husband, father, and respected member of the community, passed away on November 26, 2025, at the age of 93 in Marion, Indiana. Born on February 6, 1932, in Jadden, Indiana, Russell lived a life defined by hard work, dedication, and a commitment to family and friends.
Russell dedicated many years of his professional life as a millwright at Dielh Machine in Wabash, Indiana, where he earned a reputation as a good man and a hard worker. His skills went beyond his job; he was known for his ability to tinker and fix anything that needed repair, showcasing his practical talents and resourcefulness.
In addition to his career, Russell proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Army, an experience that shaped his character and instilled in him a sense of duty and commitment.
Russell attended Maple Run Friends Church, which reflected his deep spiritual values and provided a foundation for his life. His faith and beliefs were central to his identity, guiding him in his relationships and interactions with others.
Russell leaves behind a loving family, including his cherished wife, Deloris Hults. He is survived by his son, Keith (Svitlana) Hults; his daughter, Lisa Hults; and stepsons Jeffery (Dorothy) Lenfestey and John (Brandy) Lenfestey. He will be remembered affectionately by his stepdaughter, Peggy (Lane) Wiegert, three grandchildren, eleven step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and fifteen step-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Hults; his mother, Doris Hults; his sister, Marjorie Smith; his brother, Jerry Hults; and step daughter Kandi Ross. Their absence will be felt profoundly by all who knew Russell.
Visitation will be held on December 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home in Marion, Indiana, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Russell will then be laid to rest at the Marion National Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
Russell Lowell Hults’ legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
