Sheryl D. Osborn, a cherished member of the Marion community, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, in her hometown of Marion, Indiana. Born on June 28, 1946, Sheryl’s life spanned nearly 80 years filled with love, commitment, and a dedication to the people and places she held dear.
Sheryl was born in Marion, Indiana, and remained deeply connected to her roots throughout her life. She was a devoted wife to Steven Osborn and a beloved stepmother to six children, whose lives she enriched with her kindness and steady presence. Her family extended to nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom brought joy and meaning to her days.
Her early life was shaped by her parents, Clinton Sprong and Glendora Bennett, both of whom, along with her four siblings, have preceded her in death. Despite these losses, Sheryl’s spirit remained resilient and compassionate.
Sheryl’s interests were reflective of her vibrant and engaging nature. She was an active member of the Eagles Aerie 227 in Marion, a community where she found camaraderie and purpose. She cherished camping trips at Bozarth's Campground, where she enjoyed the serenity of nature and the company of friends and family. Additionally, Sheryl had a fondness for rummage sales, finding joy in the simple pleasures of discovering hidden treasures and connecting with her community.
Her funeral service will be held on June 24, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, located at 1202 West Kem Road, Marion, Indiana 46952. This service will provide an opportunity for family, friends, and all who knew Sheryl to honor her memory and celebrate a life well lived.
Sheryl D. Osborn’s legacy is carried forward by her loving husband, her extended family, and the many friends who were touched by her warmth and generosity. She will be remembered not just for her roles within her family and community but for the kindness and joy she brought to all who knew her.
In this time of mourning, those who knew Sheryl are reminded of the strength found in family and friendship, and the enduring impact of a life marked by love and dedication. Her memory will forever remain a beacon of light in the hearts of many.
