Slade Adam Buckler, born on March 16, 1979 in Marion, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026 at Marion General Hospital, surrounded by loving family. Slade’s kind spirit and gentle presence will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.

A proud native of Marion, Slade spent his entire life close to family and the community he cherished. He was a graduate of the Oak Hill High School Class of 1997—a place where he forged formative friendships and began a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors.

From a young age, Slade enjoyed spending time in nature. He found great joy in fishing, often escaping to the quiet banks of local lakes and streams, as well as coon hunting during his younger years. These passions became special ways for him to connect with the land around him and those he loved.

Slade was supported throughout his life by a close-knit and devoted family. He is lovingly remembered by his father, Tim Buckler, and his step-mother, Francie Buckler; his mother, Deborah (Brent Hall) Buckler; his step-sisters, Brooke Saylor and Lisa Sellers; and his step-brother, Seth (Kaylani) Trotter. The fondness of his uncle, Dan (Donna) Buckler, as well as the affection of many nieces and nephews, held a special place in his heart. Their memories together, full of laughter and shared experiences, remain as a testament to Slade's kindness and devotion.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice for their exceptional kindness and care during Slade’s final days, providing comfort and support when it was needed most.

In accordance with Slade’s wishes, cremation will take place at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, 1202 West Kem Road, Marion, IN 46952. There will be no services. The family finds comfort in knowing that Slade’s life was lived surrounded by love, and his memory will continue to bring warmth to those who knew him.

Slade Adam Buckler’s legacy lives on in the stories shared and the bonds formed with those he held dear. He will be remembered always with deep affection and respect.
