Stephen K. Baldwin, born on October 1, 1949 in Marion, Indiana, passed away on July 19, 2026 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was 76 years old.

Stephen’s early years were rooted in Marion. He graduated from Bennett High School in Marion, Indiana, an achievement marking the beginning of a lifelong pursuit of dedication and diligence.

Over the course of his working life, Stephen built a respected career at GM in Marion. His commitment and work ethic were evident to all who knew him professionally, and after years of dedicated service, he retired, leaving behind a legacy of reliability and steadfastness that earned the esteem of his colleagues.

Stephen’s family formed the core of his world. He is survived by his daughter, Stacey Cannon; son, Greg (Trisha) Baldwin; brother, Chris (Pam) Baldwin; sisters Susan Claxon, Cathy (Mark) Krumanaker, and Louise (Jim) Porter. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Ket (Eryn) Baldwin, Karson Baldwin, Riley Baldwin, and Samantha (Daniel) Mateo, as well as his great-grandchildren, Zavion Mahoney and Eden Baldwin. Stephen is also remembered by his special friend Tony (Gabby) Porter. Each family member and friend cherished the unique roles he played in their lives and will remember him for his guidance, warmth, and unwavering support.

Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Ket Baldwin, and his mother, Ruth Baldwin, whose memories continued to shape his journey throughout the years.

The family and friends of Stephen K. Baldwin will gather to honor and remember his life on July 28, 2026. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, located at 1202 West Kem Road, Marion, IN 46952. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the same location. Father Noah Isch will officiate. Burial will take place immediately afterward at Marion I.O.O.F. Cemetery, 2225 S Lincoln Blvd., Marion, IN 46953.

Stephen’s life was marked by devotion to his family, dedication to his profession, and a deep sense of responsibility. His presence, wisdom, and example will be remembered by all who knew him.
