Theresa Jo Talbert

Theresa Jo Talbert, of Marion, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026. Born on February 18, 1970, in Marion, Theresa embraced every day with a sense of commitment, compassion, and gentle warmth that endeared her to all who knew her.

Theresa dedicated herself fully to the care and service of others throughout her life. Her career in food service at Marion General Hospital reflected her devotion to making a difference in her community. In addition to her work at the hospital, Theresa extended her nurturing spirit as a home health aide, tending to those requiring care with patience and understanding that never wavered. Those fortunate enough to be supported by her found not just a caregiver, but a friend who truly listened and genuinely cared.

Theresa found joy in simple pleasures. She loved collecting figurines and watching a variety of television shows/movies. These activities brought comfort and happiness not only to her, but to those who shared these moments with her.

Theresa’s memory is lovingly carried forward by her devoted husband, Tracy Talbert, who shared with her years of partnership and mutual care. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Terra Dickman and Tina Baldwin, as well as her niece, Ciera (Kyle) Brooks, each of whom benefited from Theresa's thoughtful kindness. Several cousins share fond memories of a cousin whose heart was as generous as her smile.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jane Hall; her brother-in-law, Tony Talbert; and her sister-in-law, Tammy Closser. Their spirits, together with Theresa’s, remain in the hearts of all who loved them.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Thursday, August 14, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home, 1202 West Kem Road, Marion, IN. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the same location, honoring and remembering Theresa’s beautiful life. Following the service, Theresa will be laid to rest at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 11201 South Marion Road 35, Marion, IN.

The memory of Theresa’s caring nature and her quiet strength will continue to inspire those who knew her. Her life was a testament to the power of selfless love, and she will be dearly missed.
