Barbara A. Nelson

Barbara A. Nelson, age 73 of Marion passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 in her home.

Barbara was born on September 11, 1948 in Peru, Indiana the daughter of the late Harold V. and Glenis (Pace) Hogan.  She married David Nelson on April 6, 1987, and he preceded her in death on November 9, 2015.

Barbara enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, painting and ceramics.  She also loved watching Hallmark movies.

She is survived by a son, Tim (Lisa) Downam of Marion; two daughters, Melissa (Barry) King of Marion and Christie (Steve) Cox of Anderson; two step-daughters, Michelle Nelson and Molly Nelson, both of Ft. Wayne; a brother, Don (Carol) Hogan of Marion; a daughter-in-law, Barbie Downam of New Castle; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, David Downam and a brother, Jim Hogan.

Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Burial will follow funeral services in Converse Cemetery, Converse, Indiana.
