Beverly K. Cox

MaryBeverly Cox, age 57 of Marion passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Beverly was born on January 6, 1964 in Marion, Indiana the daughter of the late Gilbert and Mildred (Coda) Edwards.  She married Roger Cox on August 25, 1991, and he preceded her in death on April 13 2013. 

She worked as a manager for Dollar General for 5 years and Family Dollar for 5 years in Marion.  Beverly was known as “Bev the Builder”.  She could build anything and was good at it.  She enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.  The thing she absolutely loved the most was spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Jarred (Rachel) Farr of Marion; a daughter, Ashley (Devin) Mitchell of Marion; two brothers, Johnny (Libby) Edwards of Peru and Earl (Beverly) Edwards of Kentucky; five sisters, Mary Tyree of Wabash, Debbie (Mark) White of Huntington, Linda Belcher of Marion, Kathy Thompson of Marion and Zella (John) Thompson of Marion; and six grandchildren, Trevor Raih, Britton Farr, D’Andre Mitchell, Malik Harris, Emily Farr and Devin Mitchell, Jr.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by two daughters, Amanda Farr and Rachel Edwards; two brothers, Glenn Edwards and Billy Joe Brown; two sisters, Sheila Havens and Alice Dolbuy; and one granddaughter, Amaia Mitchell.

Visitation will take place from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Funeral services will begin at 3:00 p.m.  Cremation will take place following funeral services.
