Carol Jane Lane

Carol Jane Lane, age 75, of Marion, passed away  Friday, August 24, 2018 at Colonial Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center, Marion, Indiana.

Jane was born July 18, 1943 in Marion to the late Eugene and Willabelle (Fleenor) Kindler. She married Forrest Lane on November 27, 1963.  He preceded her in death on December 3, 1987.

Jane was a homemaker.  In addition to raising her three children she was also the neighborhood babysitter. She enjoyed playing euchre and, when she was younger, she enjoyed bowling on the local bowling league. She and her friends formed a club, and went out to eat and shop together. The called themselves the Goodie Girls Club.

Jane is survived by one daughter, Stephanie (Brad Lewis)  Lane, Marion; two sons, Eric Lane, Indianapolis, and Gary (Charity) Lane, Noblesville; one brother, Charles (Jo) Kindler Matthews; two sisters, Margaret Crump, Indianapolis, and Kathi Richey, Marion; one brother-n-law, Jerry (Sharon) Lane, Marion; one sister-n-law, Darlene Westendorf, Somerset; and two grandchildren, Kendra Lane and Makenzie Lane, Fishers, and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by brothers, Joseph, Jack and Robert Kindler; sister, Mary Ann Boxell; and brothers-in-law, Larry Westendorf and Donald Crump.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM. Chaplain Don Miller will officiate.

Burial will take place in Grant Memorial Park immediately following services.
