Charles Eugene Stapleton

Charles Eugene Stapleton, age 71 of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 in his home

Charles was born October 5, 1948 in Carter County, Kentucky the son of the late Warren and Mattie (Williams) Stapleton.  He married Edith Tarlton in August 10, 1966, and she preceded him in death on April 26, 2007. 

He worked at Active Products for 30 plus years.  His favorite past times were NASCAR races and his favorite driver was #22 Joey Logano.  He enjoyed going to rummage sales, flea markets and auctions, collecting die-cast cars and he had quite the collection!  He also loved playing shuffleboard and bar poker at the Amvets. 

He is survived by a daughter, Connie (Scott) Hevner; a son, Charles Stapleton II; two brothers, Paul and Mack Stapleton; two sisters, Sarah and Priscilla; four granddaughters, Ashley Hevner (Cory Church), Krystal (Jason) Harmon, Kristin (Daric) Fuller and Genevieve; 5 great-grandsons, Kamden, Kade, Kalloway, Lincoln and Wyatt; one great-granddaughter, Kinslie and one on the way; many nieces and nephews; and his very special friend, Nancy.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. 

Burial will take place immediately following funeral services at Jefferson Cemetery, Upland, Indiana.
