Christopher J. "Bear" Aguilar

Christopher J. “Bear” Aguilar, age 60 of Converse, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Christopher was born on September 18, 1961 in Marion, Indiana the son of the late Charles Thomas and Sally (Buck) Aguilar.  He married Amy Hall on February 23, 2005, and she survives.  He worked for Online Transport in Indianapolis for 37 years as a dispatcher.  Christopher loved to cook and entertain friends and family at the farm.

He is also survived by a son, Christopher T. Aguilar of Swayzee; a step-son, Joshua (Taryn) Vetor of Marion; a step-daughter, Jennifer Vetor of Muncie; a brother, Thomas Alan “Tom” (Mona) Aguilar of Marion; a sister, Suzi Beck of Converse; one grandson, Colten Aguilar; a sister-in-law, Andrea Aguilar of Palm Harbor, Florida; 4 step-grandchildren, Kendalyn Vetor, Keaton Vetor, Brynn Maisongale and Blake Vetor; and his first wife, Kim Aguilar of Marion.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Mark Daniel Aguilar.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Cancer Services of Grant County, 305 S. Norton Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46952.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. (Noon) to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana.  A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2:00 p.m.
